For our Head Office in Cape Town, we are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the full accounting function for the operation of the business.
As a Financial Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager, with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
– Managing the full accounting function for the business.
– Bank and supplier account reconciliations.
Other:
– Attend Team Meetings.
– Maintain a clear, concise, and effective communication style with clients, Management, and the team.
– Matric & Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance (will be advantageous).
– 3 – 5 years of experience, preferably with Travel/ Tourism or a DMC.
– Strong reconciliation skills (Bank & Supplier accounts).
– Solid Accounts Payable knowledge.
– Experience with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
– Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proven track record in use thereof.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work independently without supervision.
– Well-organised with effective time management skills.
– Solid experience with systems.
– Strong communication and organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
